I hope everyone had an AMAZING spring break and are ready to track back in for the FINAL QUARTER OF SIXTH GRADE! Can you believe it!? Time flies in the lab ;) Here's the plan for this week:
-Monday, 3/21: Review conduction, convection, & radiation - use BlendSpace and other online and paper resources to fill out notes about this topic. BYOD: CODE GREEN -Tuesday, 3/22: Concept mapping with your lab partner - you will create a concept map with your lab partner to review for your post-assessment. Think about all we've done in Unit 4 (the slides will be updated in case you need a refresher!) and start piecing it all together. Be ready to share out! BYOD: CODE YELLOW -Wednesday, 3/23: Post-assessment day. Remember that this assessment is THE SAME THING as your pre-assessment that you took to start the unit. This WILL be a grade in the grade book. BYOD: CODE RED -Thursday, 3/24: Invite-a-Scientist! I've scheduled some scientists from NCSU to come do some lab rotations with you as part of the NC Science Festival. :) It should be a super fun day of exploring! BYOD: CODE RED -Friday, 3/25: NO SCHOOL. This is our final holiday before we crunch time it to the end of the year/summer! A reminder that students are NOT permitted to use devices UNLESS they have submitted a signed BYOD form. If students need another form, please let me know -- I have lots of copies!
Let me know if you have any questions about what we've got coming up. After next week, we will embark on our final unit: SPACE. :)
Here's to another great quarter!
Ms. Stewart
