Unit 5 Project

Hello, families!

The end of the year is rapidly approaching and we are beginning our final project for the year! Students took their post-assessments about space today and will begin working on a project tomorrow (rubrics posted under the "Units of Study" tab).

At the beginning of the unit, students were given a paper copy of an "Astronaut Certification" sheet (located on Google Classroom for students to reference as well). This sheet detailed that students needed to complete and submit work throughout the quarter in order to earn the privilege to do our 3D printing project.

We will use the following to distinguish student eligibility for the 3D printing project: 1. Missing more than two assignments 2. Not completing the Astronaut Training Level 1 (Mission 1) If either of these apply to the student, (s)he will NOT be eligible for the 3D printing project; however, (s)he may write an essay to explain why (s)he should be allowed to complete the fast-paced project. The essay proposal will be considered by teachers and may or may not be accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions about this process as we move forward!
